Netflix doesn't throttle connection

Some people thought that Netflix was throttling their service awhile ago, but now it seems that was all hearsay. According to Neil Hunt of Netflix, they do not throttle their movie streaming service at all. Rather, the problem with connection speeds lies solely with the ISPs.

Hunt said that even though some users experience better downloads on their Xbox 360s than their PCs (or the other way around), there is no discrimination between the two formats. Some movies might stream slower than others, too. It all just depends on the current connection and if there's congestion.

So, what was thought to be a big expose turned out to be nothing, really. But should we take their word for it? Or is their something devious afoot? I don't think so, but what do you think? Since users pay to stream movies through Netflix, it wouldn't make much sense to throttle, but I'd be interested in hearing your theories.
