Projectors have so many uses that there is a projector for just about every need. The home user needs a projector with a completely different feature set than the user in the school or office needs. NEC has unveiled the new NP2200 and NP1200 projectors for education and business use.

The two projectors share many of the same features with the big difference being the brightness of 4200 ANSI lumens for the NP2200 and 3700 ANSI lumens for the NP1200. Both projectors have an 0.4W ECO Mode that makes standby power consumption miniscule.

The projectors both have lots of lens options that allow images of up to 500-inches at 304-feet from the screen. Native resolution on the projector is 1024 x 768 and the contrast ratio is 600:1. Closed captioning is supported and the projectors have built-in 5W speakers. Connectivity includes VGA, DVI-D, and BNC with RJ45 network connectivity. The NP2200 sells for $2399 and the NP1200 will go for $1999 starting this month.
