It looks like things are really over between NBC and Apple. The Cupertino-based company held their ground against NBC’s demands for higher prices, so they won’t be selling new content. Don’t worry though, just because you can’t download episodes of the Office from iTunes, it doesn’t mean you can’t still get them elsewhere.

You’ll soon be able to head over to Amazon and download your favorite NBC shows. Apparently Amazon was more than willing to accommodate NBC’s terms.

What we don’t know yet is just how much the episodes are going to cost. I can almost bet that it will be more than the $1.99 you were charged on iTunes. NBC does promise that you’ll get a discount for buying entire seasons though.

The title should read. NBC promotes bit torrent. I’m not much of a pirate myself, but can anyone honestly say they want to open yet another account with another company with which your credit card info is saved?
Bad move NBC.

This article is misleading about being able to use amazon instead of iTunes. the Amazon store will not work on my computer. (it does not work with macintosh computers). Even if I had a PC I’m not sure if it would play on my iPod. I’ll have to wait to borrow shows from friends on DVD to import into my iPod. :(
