Nav-Mat II keeps your GPS in place and off the windshield

One of the things I don't like about my GPS device is that I have to connect it to my windshield. My car has a very steep windshield, which means the GPS is further from me than I would really like it to be. I also don't like the fact that the suction cups on the GPS units I have tried all seem to lose suction at the worst time.

I would prefer to put the GPS on my dash, but the suction cup won't stick to it. A company called Bracketron has announced a new Nav-Mat II portable GPS dash mount that will let you attach your navigating device to the dash of your car.

The Nav-Mat II is flexible, promises to contour to your dash, and uses TemporBond technology to adhere and keep the GPS in place. I hope the TemporBond doesn't involve sticky adhesives or Velcro-style closures; I certainly don't want any goo on my dash. The mat is available now for $29.95 at Best Buy and on the Bracketron website. The mat uses the factory windshield GPS mount.
