NASA unveils Moonbase Alpha 3D game via Steam

We don't usually go for games here at SlashGear, but the new game form NASA is interesting. The game is called Moonbase Alpha and it's a free offering from NASA and the first game from the NASA Learning Technologies project.

The game puts the player in the roll of an astronaut living and working at Moonbase Alpha. The premise of the game is that players have to restore oxygen flow to the base after a meteor strike cripples life support systems.

The player has to allocate resources like robots, rovers, repair tools, and other items to repair damage and succeed. The game has single player and multiple player modes and the goal is to fix the base as quickly as possible. You can download the game for free here.
