Most everything is viable for study, but you must trim it down to what you think will provide the best info. Studying the large asteroids is important.

One… future resource mining.
Two… better understand their danger to earth.
Then there are may other things they can tell us of a much more boring to the average person type of things… that are none the less important or valuable from a scientific perspective.
