I love that it is fast. A good feature to have.

But, I can’t understand how WP7 phones like HTC HD7 are very slow. I own one and all you have to do is hit the button and it starts..then hit again and you have a photo. I’ve tried this myself and it seems about equally as fast, if not a bit faster, than N9′s timing.

I just used the browser on the N9 with a wireless N connection and it is pretty fast in my opinion. The video may make it appear slower but the connection is the limiting factor I suspect. I timed the news front page of the BBC at just over 7 seconds. I have core i7 laptop that did it in less than 3 seconds using the same connection. None-the-less, nearly half the speed of an i7 is not bad. The N900, a very nice browser takes over 20 seconds (bu didn’t quite complete for some reason even though I could see all of the page). I would be interested to see what real times the same page takes on other devices.

And even N8 isn’t too slow. At least with Opera. Even Those old s60v5 phones are usable with Opera.

I’m guessing it’s all based on whatever devices Nokia had lying around to compare to. Hence the rather odd mixture of phones.

No, it’s fast (WebKit 2). Perhaps you’re confusing the N9 with the N8.

Actually, if the N900 is anything to go by it will be the FASTEST browser in a phone too. So suck on that white stain.
