MSI’s Wind U110 Eco netbook – promising up to 9hrs runtime from a single charge of its capacious 9-cell 7,800mAh battery – has finally gone on sale in the US, with Amazon listing the 10.1-inch Atom ultraportable for $399.99.  The U110 Eco packs a 1.6GHz Z530 processor with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard-drive, and has a 1,024 x 600 LED backlit display.

Elsewhere there’s WiFi b/g/n, an integrated webcam, 4-in-1 memory card reader and gigabit ethernet; no word on whether the model Amazon are stocking has Bluetooth or not, since that was originally tipped as an optional extra.  We’ll trust the 9hrs runtime claim when we see some hard evidence, but if you’re desperate for a new netbook now – and simply can’t wait for Intel’s new Atom chips in a few months time – then the MSI Wind U110 Eco should probably go on your shortlist.

I think its claimed at 15 hour run time and not 9hour. But either way, its a pretty impressive amount of hours. Can’t wait to see the actual run time, if its good i might have to consider one.
