MSI Wind 6-cell netbook availability improves

Having been delayed since the netbook's launch, the 6-cell battery version of the MSI Wind is finally in stock with US retailers.  Newegg currently have the netbook listed at the recently increased price of $549.99, limited to one per customer and, at time of writing, only in pink.

MSI blamed shortages in LiIon battery packs for the absence of the 6-cell Wind at launch.  They then increased the price of the netbook, both of the 3-cell version (from $479.99 to $499.99) and of the 6-cell version (from $499.99 to $549.99).  Of course, retailers took the usual liberties with those MRSP figures.

MSI's own online store does not have the 6-cell version in-stock, though they do have a 3-cell limited edition that's actually ten bucks more expensive than Newegg.  The ASUS Eee PC 1000H, with similar specs to the MSI Wind, is also in stock at Newegg, for the same price.
