MSI is probably best known in America for its Wind netbook and Wind Top all-in-one computers. The firm also makes lots of other notebooks including the Wind U210 with a 12.1-inch screen and a 250GB HDD.

MSI has announced that the U210 is now available in the U.S. via Amazon and Newegg.com with prices starting at $429.99. The machine includes a 1-year warranty and can be had in black, blue, or white colors. Other features include a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI out, three USB ports, VGA out, and a 4-in-1 card reader.

The U210’s 12.1-inch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and the machine runs on a 6-cell battery. The battery is good for a promised 4 hours of runtime per charge. Graphics are via ATI Radeon X1250 and the machine has a keyboard with keys 51% larger than those on other notebooks of the same size.

Good source of information presented here. Overall an exceptional piece of equipment the Wind U210 is. For those interested, the U210 won an award from i4U, another technology life style and shopping guides on the web. They mentioned the Multimedia encoding performance on the U210, significantly outweighed that of Lenovo S10-2. The U210’s high quality glossy screen offers brighter and sharper images than a much more expensive Gateway notebook does. And the U210 keyboard is top notch with large flat keys that are well spaced and offer lots of tactile feedback. To read the full story type in, (http://www.i4u.com/full-review-598.html). I found this via MSI’s twitter page.

I’ve read several unboxing reviews and the majority agreed on the battery life wasn’t too good. 3 hours max. Despite the fact, I think it’s a good deal. Considering the price and what the notebook offers, I think it’s pretty ideal. The U210 actually won another editor’s choice award from computer shopper. http://computershopper.com/lap.....u210-006us I’m not surprised that another one of the Wind series product is getting so much attention. Like you said, MSI is known for their Wind products.
