MSI S100 3-in-1 tablet unveiled with Bay Trail, Windows 8.1

MSI has introduced a new Windows tablet, the MSI S100, and with it comes pretty decent specifications. The 10-inch slate runs Windows 8.1 and features an Intel Bay Trail processor, coming bundled with accessories to give it a laptop style.

The S100 features a 10-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800, something joined by two 2-megapixel cameras on the front and back. MSI is calling the system a "3-in-1", offering both a sleeve and keyboard bundled with the slate.

Under the hood lies an Intel Bay Trail-T quad-core 1.33GHz processor alongside 2GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage (there's a microSD slot for expansion, as well). As mentioned, the system runs Windows 8.1, and boasts 10 hours of battery life on a charge.

Connectivity includes Bluetooth 4.0 and 802.11b/g/n. Rounding out the specs is a mini HDMI port, a standard audio jack, a gravity acceleration sensor, Intel HD Graphics, and "soul-shaking 3D surround sound." Availability and pricing haven't been detailed.
