MSI reveals new 890GXM-G65 mainboard with USB 3.0 and more

MSI has been building mainboards and other computer hardware for a long time now. The company has unveiled its latest mainboard called the 890GXM-G65 today that is based on the new AMD 890GX chipset. The chipset is notable for the new features it supports.

The board offers both USB 3.0 support and supports new SATA 3.0 HDDs. MSI is aiming the mainboard at HTPC user and the board supports the latest Phenom II processors. Both DirectX 10.1 and UVD 2.0 multimedia standards are supported.

Other features include OC Genie Lite for overclocking, solid state capacitors for stability, HDMI and DVI outputs, and Lossless 24-bit/192kHz HD audio. The chipset and other components on the mainboard are cooled using a HeatPipe design. Pricing and availability are unknown at this time.
