MSI Big Bang XPower X58 mainboard unveiled

MSI has been peddling its Big Bang series of mainboards for gamers and enthusiasts for a while and has now added a new model to the line. The new model is called the Big Bang XPower X58. The board has some interesting features for gamers and overclockers that should make the board popular with enthusiasts.

The board uses an add in THX certified Quantum Wave Sound Card. It also has a 16 phase DrMOS PWM with titanium core capacitors. The board also has dual 8-pin power connectors for CPU overclocking and dual 6-pin power connectors for GPU overclocking. The extra power will help provide more stability when overclocking.

Easy Touch buttons are located on the board for overclockers working without a case and for convenience when working inside the chassis. An OC Genie button is also located on the mainboard. Six PCI-E slots are on the board the board supports Intel and ATI graphics solutions. The board has an Intel LGA 1366 socket for Core processors. Other features include eSATA port, 6Gbps SATA, FireWire port, dual USB 3.0 ports, and nine USB 2.0 ports. Pricing and availability are unknown.
