MSI Announces New Ultra Slim X460, X460DX Notebooks

MSI today announced two new X-Series ultra-slim notebooks designed for mobile professionals. The X460 and the X460DX are both 14-inch notebooks that are stylish and sleek with a brushed metallic design in black. They combine performance from the latest Intel Core processors with an extended all-day battery life packed into a more convenient and portable size.

The new ultra-slim notebooks will feature strong multimedia support with Intel’s WiDi 2.0 for easy Wi-Fi connection to any TV using standard Wi-Fi and THX TruStudio PRO for premium audio quality. Other connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port. There’s also an integrated 1.3-megapixel webcam.

The X460DX comes in two configurations, one with a 2.1GHz Intel Core i3-2310M processor with 4GB of DDR3 RAM and the other with a 2.3Ghz Intel Core i5-2410M processor with 6GB of DDR3 RAM. Both will use NVIDIA’s GeForce GT540M GPU and will have 500GB of hard drive capacity. Pricing starts from $799.99 to $899.99.

The X460 is the higher-end model that comes with an Intel Core i7-2630QM processor with integrated Intel HD 3000 graphics, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB hard drive, and Windows 7 Professional 64bit. Pricing starts from $1,199.99.
