It’s been a long time, I’m almost positive, since anyone has said “I missed my program” and they were talking about the radio. I know a few people who listen to Bob and Tom religiously but I don’t think they’d be sad if they missed a day. However, if you are that one person who must never miss their radio program then the MP-Sound is for you, it comes with EPG (Electronic Programming Guide).
Roberts Radio’s MP-Sound 41 will let you program your radio to record any show you want for up to a week in advance, so if you’re dying to know what that radio therapist will talk about next week while you’re at your OCD class, you won’t have to miss it! You can record up to 12 programs at a time for up to 8 hours. It has a full screen display and claims to be “very easy to operate”.
The MP-sound 41 will cost around $270. I have to be honest, incase you couldn’t tell, and say that I don’t think it’s worth it, who really needs this?

One Response to “MP Sound 41 lets you TiVo your radio”

The correspondent did pick up on the best technical feature of this radio – so it’s a shame the review is shot through with a myopic Midtown USA view of radio.
Here in the UK, where Roberts hails from, we have ‘Super NPR’ – the BBC. Many of its channels – Radio 4, World Service, and Radio 3 being personal favourites – are staggeringly good. This radio could well be a roaring success in the UK, where millions have ‘musn’t-miss’ radio shows (unsurprisingly given the enormous investment given annually).
If you’re fairly well-educated here, radio is your media refuge, in an age of where all TV broadcasting is in a race to the bottom in terms of vulgar, single-digit-mental-age appeal.
