I predict that one day in the not too distant future films will be released as tie-ins to new products.  That’s the inevitable way it seems to be going, as more and more manufacturers use the latest blockbuster to rebrand something from their catalogue and get the chance to republicise it.  Today it’s Sony’s turn, and they’ve picked the very-gadget-friendly James Bond film Casino Royale to pimp their MicroVault USB memory stick.

Sony 007 MicroVault

With a death-defying 1GB of memory, gun-toting “007″ branding, “licenced to kill” retractable USB plug and “shaken not stirred” pre-loaded content, such as the movie trailer and four HD wallpapers, this isn’t just a cash-in product, oh no.  It’s a shameless cash-in product.

The 007 MicroVault will be available this month.
