IMO the Adam’s screen is its real achilles heal. It looks far too washed out under normal conditions. The contrast and colours are very bland. Its good in direct sunlight but how often will people use it in direct sunlight. Also it attracts way too many fingerprints on that matt screen which are harder to clean off. Plus i hate the matt screen as this helps to dull the colours even more. Its a sham as i had massive hopes for the adam- I even had it pre ordered but cancelled mainly because of the washed out colours.

Both are impressive devices; both run dual-core Tegra 2. The screen of the Xoom has a 1280×800 resolution (which is the perfect aspect ratio imo, and the closest to the Golden ratio), however Adam will come with a pixel Qi screen which is rather unique and has advantages for outdoor viewing and battery life. The Eden UI is very original and nice, the Honeycomb UI is just breathtaking… I don’t know, it’s a tough call there. The competition will be awesome, and I’m sure both devices will find plenty of fans.

I see where you comming from. and on a spec sheet the Adam is better. the only thing i see wrong with it though is that it doesn’t have access to the android market. I know it will ahve Genesis, but until i see or hear what apps the Adam will have i’m going to have to go with the Xoom

Is it true that they showed Honeycomb REALLY running over xoom? I heard that they only demoed a recorded video of honeycomb interface and that the CEO of MOTOROLA tried his best to prevent people from having a closer look at his machine because it was nowhere near being a product.

The fact that it’s the Honeycomb reference platform pulls some weight for sure. That’s not to say there aren’t other good tablets out there.
