Google Vs Nuance — Nuance was doing voice to text long before iOS, Android, or Google were around.

Well as Apple fans constantly remind people, it’s not about specs (in this case the spec of the connection). It’s about experience. So no 4G iPhone does put Apple at a disadvantage for this experience.

Quick one to two sentence text messages
opening the navigator directly from your location to the desired one without intermediate steps. All done better via voice control. I grant that there are a number of functions better done manually.

I’m with you… I’m on the android side of the equation though… Android voice works fine… it’s only occasionally that I have to repeat myself, and that generally for complex commands. Dunno about Siri. I suspect he’s on a lame phone, or poor network connection.

I’ve made some use out of voice actions. While driving it’s good for navigation and making calls on my bluetooth speaker phone. While i have used it to set my alarm i find it’s just as fast to do that by hand now that all my alarm times have presets. I don’t do much texting but i know it’s usefull for that aswell atleast until you come across a words that sound the same but are totaly different. This type of tech is still in the early going though, it’s good to see Apple try and push the envelope but this kind of stuff still has alot of maturing to do yet.

Yea right, I use Siri everyday, espcially since I jailbroke and Siri can open apps for me like pandora and temple run for me. You must have a bad internet connection if it takes 5 or 6 times for Siri to get something right. I doubt you even own a 4s.

I haven’t found either Siri or Android Voice Actions to be very accurate. Regardless of which I use, it can take 5 or 6 tries before either of them get simple commands right.
