Buying its way into dominance with several hardware manufacturers makes sense. however, Moto’s ineptness with the Xoom LTE, Bionic would lead me to believe that MS would rather go to Samsung or HTC, both companies with the manufacturing and R&D to build compelling hardware.

If they want a Nokia-MS style deal, then wouldn’t they need to drop Android? You can’t have it both ways… I mean Samsung, LG, HTC etc don’t have such a deal, but they produce both Windows Phone and Android handsets.
Motorola are also in no way as big as Nokia are. lol.
