So Sprint has only just got the Q, and Motorola are cocking a snook at them and saying “look, we’ve developed the Q gsm and Q q9″ the cheeky swines.  Still, not being in the US means I owe nothing to Sprint, so let’s forget about them for the moment and look at what goodies Moto has delivered for us.

First off, the Q gsm (left) is an upgrade and re-casing of the previous model, bringing it up to date OS-wise courtesy of Windows Mobile 6 as well as quad-band GSM and EDGE data support.  The Q q9 (right) keeps the old case but throws the lovely HSDPA into the mix, as well as that all-important quad-band GSM and EDGE.  More details after the cut.

The Q q9 is PlaysForSure compatible, either streaming it over the air thanks to that high-speed data connection, from on-board memory (all 256MB of it) or via the microSD expansion slot.  USB 2.0 makes transferring tracks easy, and there’s A2DP Bluetooth for wireless stereo headphones.
