Well prepaid carriers make the phones “cheaper” somehow. In this case I bet it’s the cheap plastic and/or cheaper processor/or outdated, motherboard, etc.

I heard that prepaid carrier sells the phone cheaper at their own risk, so if someone buys the phone for $179 and only use it for a month. They loose money

How come no class action lawsuit has been struck against carriers for always over charging to buy a phone without contract? the EVO 4g would be a similar phone in specs, and buying it from Sprint would run you north of $500. Heck buying an old blackberry on AT&T outright would be over $400, this sells for $299 and no one sees the proof? phhh
