I get no option to choose webtop when phone is plugged in i tried 3 hdmi
tvs a hdmi laptop i own 2 docks both same results and when the phone is
on the dock you can only hear audio and see a Motorola symbol bouncing
around the tv. need help….??? not sure if its due to the latest update

Dear author, can’t you see your photos from Photon is blue? These are awfully bad quality pictures. How can you tolerate this kind of camera?

I, and many others are experiencing what’s called the SOD (Screen of Death). Several times a day, the phone will either stay locked in a “sleep mode”, or continuously reboot.Most of us have called Motorola, Sprint and have blogged about the SOD on the Motorola User Forums. After many different troubleshooting steps and still no word from Motorola or Sprint, MY SUGGESTION TO YOU IS TO FORGET ABOUT THE MOTOROLA PHOTON 4G FROM SPRINT.

Phone is solidly built and has a great rubberized texture on the back.
Doesn’t feel like it will fall out of your hand like the atrix.

Screen is very bright and color saturation is fantastic.

Regular 2D viewing is not compromised at all by having 3D display.

Sound is loud and and clear both from earpiece and speakerphone.

Fast response, but there are times when it lags just a little bit.

Big screen.

3D is fun and greatly enhances photos and videos.

Cons

Low on ram.

Low screen resolution compared to evo 3d and atrix.

Battery life is terrible, partly because of lack of Gingerbread update.

No Gringerbread android os update yet.

Cannot use flash when taking 3D photos.

Also the speed test is extremely inaccurate…at least compared to the numbers I got on four different tests here in the Los Angeles area.

The lg optimus 2x has more raw power than the photon/ATRIX. But the ui is so taxing that it doesn’t perform better. The Motorola ATRIX, the Motorola photon, and the DROID bionic all have the same internals, their just made for different carriers.

I mean that the Evo3D had very garbled call quality. Voices sounded hollow and I missed words. I live in Denver, and obviously I’m on Sprint, and that was the worst phone I’ve had in regards to quality. My wife’s Evo is excellent, and so is my Arrive. I really want the Photon, but not at the expense of call quality. Or I guess I could just still sit and pray for an iPhone 5 announcement soon…

@twitter-14576450:disqus My Sensation doesn’t have bad quality but the earphone speaker is weak and not the easiest to hear, probably the same as EVO 3D. The Thrill 4G is much louder, or do you mean quality based on network because that seems fine too.

Why do you say that? Stock Tegra 2′s don’t get huge numbers but I’ll run it again right now. My LG G2x dual-core gets even lower stock but over 4k tweaked n overclocked

One thing … what do the Photon’s photo settings (exposure, etc.) look like?

Stunning pictures of the device … I can’t get over it.
