Even though it might seem like it, not every phone is a smartphone these days. In fact, many are still your standard fare, offering up just a few features and the ability to make phone calls. One such device is the MOTO VE240 from Motorola, which is set to be released in the US soon.

This candy bar cell phone will be on Cricket Wireless and Metro PCS. The device will feature the most basic of features including messaging and a simple MP3 player. You can add on storage to the device, however, by means of the microSD card slot. There is also Bluetooth.

If you want a cheap phone that does the basics, then this one might be for you. It will cost $89 following a $30 rebate from Cricket Wireless. It’s not that exciting, but will no doubt be a useful handset for some.
