Motorola MB300 Backflip/Enzo leaks: MOTOBLUR, odd form-factor and AT&T

More detail – and some far better photography – has emerged regarding one of Motorola's next Android devices, the Motorola MB300 variously known as the Motorola Backflip, the Motorola Enzo and the Motorola Motus.  As was speculated, the smartphone has an unusual form-factor in that the QWERTY keyboard folds back against the screen section, leaving both exposed; the 5-megapixel camera with LED flash is embedded into the left-hand side of the keyboard, and there's a trackpad on the back of the display.

That trackpad can be used for navigation through webpages and other screens, and according to Phandroid's tipster – the source of these images – the system works very well.  In fact the whole device is said to be good, with a responsive 3.1-inch 320 x 480 touchscreen, light weight and "perfect" autofocus on the camera.  Other specs include a 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7201A processor with 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM, the usual trio of WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth 2.0, and quadband GSM along with somewhat surprising five-band WCDMA support (850/900/1700/1900/2100).  We're guessing that means Motorola will be offering US and European variants of the Backflip/Enzo, with the suitable bands active.

What you won't get, though, is the latest version of Android or most of the Google Apps.  Apparently the MB300 runs Android 1.5 complete with MOTOBLUR, but aside from Google Maps and the Android Market there won't be anything else from Google themselves; in fact Motorola and AT&T have preloaded Yahoo! search onto the smartphone, along with AT&T's Navigation, Music and Mobile App store (for ringtones).
