Late, over-priced and under-specd. I would rather get a Transformer Prime and connect it via a MIFI station (as well as 4 additional devices), Than pay a premium for this thing. If Verizon were selling them for $300, maybe, but at these prices it is extremely hard to make any kind of argument for it.

obviously there is a market for 3g/4g tablets, but the vast majority of people don’t travel enough to warrant $30/month for it. especially when the people who only need it on occasion can just tether their phones to their wifi tablets.

No SD card slot…..I don’t should choice this over Galaxy Tab 7.7 (no 8.9 pls). for 10″ of course go for Asus Transformer Prime :)

I find it to be odd that this article actually seems to suggest that mobile data is an oddity. For example, all of the Netflix customers that can watch while waiting in the car, for someone inside a store; that’s just one use of mobile data. Also, I know many people that now their home WAN = 3g4g that they create a wifi hotspot from, for their home devices – and save some expenses that way by combining home and mobile internet service. When I bought my tablet, I actually found wifi-only to be less desirable – unless just used tethering via my smartphone’s VZW 4gLTE while I am not at home or work. One comment I will admit though, without grandfathered unlimited VZW data plans, the new VZW data plans (without unlimited option) make mobile use of Netflix pretty expensive – and the other carriers in my region have horrible, horrible coverage.

No SD???? Other features are nice but for half the price I’m going with an 8″ Android 2.3 with a full set of features including GPS and 3G in a no name tablet from iOsen. Add the new mobile tablet mount from Bridge MTM for incredible precise positioning in any vehicle, any 3-4G equipped tablet is now easily mounted for live augmented reality navigation GPS for every day use in my car.

Absolutely not. They’re really not meant to, anyway,as the Prime is a whole new class of tablet, outperforming every other tablet-like device on the market today, hands down.

If this reviewer represents Android users, in general, it’s clear that there is nothing useful on Android tablets to show potential buyers. He goes on and on about things that make no sense to be talking to people about. All the tech being discussed, if it doesn’t support great apps and provide a nice smooth user experience, then the tech is worthless.

Hopefully someone can do a review that talks about the things that are actually “value added” features.

I was waiting for this review after reading about the 10.1. Maybe I had my hopes up a little too high. It seems good but looking over everything about both of these tablets I have to agree it doesn’t seem to compare to the Asus Prime.
