The Droid is a very capable phone but has a bit slower processor than some of the flagship phones coming out after it. The Droid with 2.2 might be as fast, or even faster (!) than a newer Evo or an Incredible with 2.1. Make your old phone faster than the hot new ticket? Yes, thank you very much. So yeah, Motorola would be well served to slap 2.2 on that baby as fast as possible, just to keep its sales humming along for much longer.
