If the razrs hump was any thinner the 3.5mm jack would not fit! And it is also helpful when holding the phone up and giving the speaker a better sounds quality and louder volume.

Gee, what sort of sucky company can't defy physics and make an enclosure that is smaller than the parts it is designed to house? And it isn't just the camera ya schnooks. Look at the headphone jack.

So then it would be the same thickness as other phones- possibly even thicker? Yet still carry the RAZR name?

So what Motorola did was make their device smaller by giving up battery space to continue the RAZR name. THEN, once people got upset they release another model that's the same thickness or possibly thicker than other phones to address the problem they created in the first place? Nice.

Amen! The RAZR is a realllllllly great phone. If they would do what you suggest, make the battery replaceable, and fix the camera issues then I think it would sell like wildfire. I also agree with your follow up that having the extended battery and cover would take care of the hump issue.

But when exactly did Moto or Verizon start listening to us?

I like how the extended battery for a lot of the Motorola phones makes the rest of the phone as thick as the awful camera bump. I can't stand how that one part of the phone sticks out so much more than the rest, but that can be fixed with an extended battery.

I would rather have a replaceable battery, and someone needs to teach Motorola how to get rid of that obnoxious camera bump, it's aesthetically awful and cumbersome.

The benefit of a replaceable battery is that you can not only carry around a charged spare but you can replace the stock battery with a higher capacity one and in many cases without the need for a "humped back" or thicker device. I replaced my HTC Sensation battery with one for the EVO 3D which added a much longer battery life without any need for a modified back cover. Going over 24 hours with moderate use on a single charge is pure bliss.
