Apple already has a very secure infrastructure. I’m sure that the authors and distributors appreciate that.
As far as Apple having a monopoly on the books content and access, it would definitely have to be worked out so there would be alternate ways to access the lessons and info.

What we have here is huge. It’s the future of education. Apple is skating to where the puck is going to be, instead of chasing the puck.

They wanted exclusive rights to book content which means you couldn’t buy a book anywhere else.

This concept is akin to selling out because in effect it would give Apple full control of electronic books, which would make iPAD the only choice for schools.

Clearly tablets may replace books to some extent, but do you want one company controlling what you read?

As for electronic publishing, I think that knowledge should be made equally available to anyone that will buy it.

Apple’s attempt to control published media is a clear indicator they care nothing about you and only about profits.

The maggots are crawling out of the real Apple for all to see now.
