We first heard about the Mophie Juice Pack Air for the iPhone 3G a bit ago, but you will soon be able to get your hands on it. For those with external battery needs for their iPhones, this accessory is a must-have.

This super thin battery doubles as a hard shell case for your iPhone 3G, keeping it powered and protected at the same time. Mophie claims the battery can add 4.5 hours of extra talk/data time, 20 hours of extra music-listening and 270 extra hours of standby time.

The Mophie Juice Pack Air for iPhone 3G will be available in white, black and purple color options for $79.95 starting on April 30th if you pre-ordered and May 1st if you backordered.
