saw a guy on the airplane with this.. he eventually broke his iphone5 because the connection kept going off and on making that whistle sound.. he kept opening and refitting the case onto his phone and eventually he got so frustrated that it ‘accidentally’ dropped it – breaking it.

I use a $2.50 TPU cover and $7 replacement battery to do the same with my old Android phone. I hope one day I can afford Apple phones & accessories. $40 “lightning connectors” get me excited!
