Monster Beats wireless headphone visits FCC

It looks like those trendy and expensive Monster Beats by Dr. Dre studio-style isolation headphones are about to get a wireless upgrade for this holiday season. Dubbed Beats Wireless, the new headphone was revealed by an FCC filing and could be designed to work perfectly for those upcoming Beats-powered HTC smartphones.

The Beats Wireless headphone uses Bluetooth and can be used for both listening to music or answering phone calls. The right ear muff has all the music and call controls, including for volume control, play, pause, forward, back, and call answering. The headphone also features a rechargeable battery.

This sounds like it will work perfectly with upcoming handsets from HTC, which has recently secured an exclusive deal with Beats Audio after a $300 million investment. This exclusivity is for smartphones only, but will certainly give HTC an edge in the competitive Android market by adding that extra "cool" factor and tapping into the popular music scene.
