I’ve always kind of wondered why Sony didn’t bother putting analog sticks on the PSP. That would be like not putting rumble in the PS3 controllers. Oh wait. For those of you that own a PSP and have a strong desire to use such controls, it is possible, though it will take some hard work to achieve.

Dual Nubs

A skilled modder by the name of L0rdNic0 (who else thinks he got his name from the guy in Hackers?) has installed what he calls “dual nubs” on his PSP Slim. This should give your games more of a similar feel to playing them on an actual PS2/3.

The guys over at AcidMods are working on a way to make the installation a little easier and less painless. If you’re really interested in this mod, you might want to keep your eye on them.
