I agree with this 99.9%. The other 00.1% would still take the job if EA offered me one. EA sucks ball and it’s the truth, but as an animator a job is a job no matter how much you hate the company.

EA sucks. They bought out all the licenses to use certain brands of cars in video games so that they can put them in their crappy, sub-par Need for Speed games. It’s petty but that upsets me a lot lol. I want Porsches on GT!

The fact that EA beat out Bank of America on the Consumerist pretty much discredited the ‘Worst Company in America’ poll for now and ever. EA sucks, but at least they aren’t even partially responsible for millions of people losing their homes.

That being said, EA certainly has been setting/perpetuating a disgusting trend in gaming. They’re increasing profit by decreasing the value of their core products. We’ve seen this trend in groceries as well. Companies sell you less of the same product for the same or higher price. In gaming, it’s a whole lot more obvious, but just as egregious.

An argument could be made that EA’s greedy actions are all a result of the “greed is good” mentality of our culture. Garbage in. Garbage out.
