Due to a problem with my computer I had to reload the Zune program and when I did it would not accept my password and when I started over it put me into the new nine dollar program insted of the fourteen dollar program. I’m dumping Zune.

I went legit with my music collection because of Zune. I love it. I wasnt a huge fan of my WP7 though, I am back to android.

Zune Pass wipes the floor with every other music service IMHO. The ability to not only stream millions of songs, but be able to download them for offline listening, is intense. The new ability to stream unlimited music videos as part of the Pass is a big plus. How convinient that that little tidbit was left out in this article. Anyway, I’m definately keeping the $15 plan. The ability to keep 10 songs a month DRM free, and be able to burn to disc, share etc… with whomever is fantastic.

I have had a Zune Pass since Nov 2006……I will never give it up. Its the best online music source out there. You are not limited to only stuff people don’t want to listen to. Spotify….ehhh gotta signup. Might as well do it with Microsoft. And I will keep my 14.99 plan with the 10 free songs, once deducted its about $5per month, still the way to go. Although I hope this new price point brings on many more subscribers.

I love Zune, and greatly prefer it to iTunes or Windows Media Player. It works super well with my Windows Phone and Xbox, and I love the Zune Pass. I think that I’ll downgrade to the cheaper option when that comes out.

There’s no backlash because anyone that subscribes before October 3rd is grandfathered into the old plan. If anything some of the old subscribers who didn’t use the monthly song credits are relieved by the price cut.

I do feel like MS is making a strategic error in becoming too much like all the other existing music services. They should bundle the 10 song credit plan with a Zune Video Pass service and offer more tiered options. They need to differentiate from the other services now and none of the other music services can offer a video bundle.

My next phone will be a Windows phone not only for the apps and interface but to also have a Zune. I use the Zune software because it works great with Windows and isn’t ass-ugly and laggy like itunes. Also, I stopped using my iPod years ago.

Streaming is cool on the Zune, but the subscription downloads are the better part. Add to that the Zunes have really really good sound quality (Sorry i, I can hear the distortion on you all) and as a pure music/video player, nothing beats it, package wise.

I am a Zune user and if you are already subscribed and maintain the subscription, you can keep the $14.99 plan WITH downloads for the forseeable future.

The 10 keepers was the most compelling part of it for me…

For windows phone users zunepass seems like a no brainer compared to other services but can’t help but think there will be a huge backlash over the 10 units that helped defer the cost of the service..

Getting a Zune Pass is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m really glad they’re grandfathering in all the existing subscribers and now adding unlimited music video streaming on Xbox and PC. I used to always check out the 30 second previews of videos on my Xbox and wonder who the heck was actually buying music videos. Now Zune on Xbox 360 actually becomes really cool.

I see what you did there.

Honestly, I can’t spot much of a difference between the numerous streaming options available now (Spotify, MOG, Rdio, etc.) … the only knock against Zune is it’s current incompatibility with iOS and Android. For WP users though, definitely a great deal.
