But the problem is Microsoft is not the type of company to provide that level of integration. Microsoft is not one cohesive organization. It’s a hundred factions…sometimes fighting…sometimes ignoring each other. Power struggles. Company politics. This list goes on and on.

Microsoft has left the 360 out there way too long. Doesn’t make sense. I fear Microsoft has lost its way. Count of its successor to be convoluted.

Xbox is the original. There is no point in buying one now because games
are no longer made for them. The 360 is the latest console there is two
sub categories to the 360, the original and the Slim.

The wii u has the exact same controllers from the wii and an extra controller with a built in screen to add to the gaming experience

The only thing i can say is hopefully microsoft and/or sony make there console WITH a controller. A regular controller not a touch screen or anything like vita intergration or the wii u. I like good old fashion gaming with a comfortable familiar controller.

1) Is all I need
2) Hate it, too much work to do simple things
3) Not really reliable in a noisy room
4) Not a bad option, but not really worth the effort over a controller
5) Not a bad option if you own a Windows phone

Like I said, I just don’t want the next console to be Kinect focused like what apple did with Siri. And for them to release some features to all XBL user not just to gold users.

Microsoft at least gives you choice.

1) controller
2) Kinect
3) Voice actions
4) Windows 8 (desktop/laptop/tablet) control
5) Windows phone.

So, you have or gonna have 5 ways of input. And probably with the 720 you gonna have 6. Touch input.

Windows 8 and Windows Phone. Two things that will help sell MASSIVE amounts of xBox 360′s.

Just roll out software updates that integrate Windows computers, tablets, and phones with the xBox 360 even further and people will see the need/want for an xBox.

I for one am scared M$ is gonna pull an apple move, focus only on kinect intergreation for the next x-box system. I play games with a controller, I don’t want to wave my body around to do something as simple as scroll the menus. And I want them to stop holding certain feature hostage to XBL gold members only. I already pay for Hulu and Netflix already, I shouldn’t have to pay for XBL just to watch it on x-box.
