Even for phones, you have made a similar decision, for this I will not say anything myself, but rather quote the great Einstein:
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Its okay however, because when Apple/Google/others are over 90% market share and you are < 10%, you will eventually realize this mistake and introduce the Sur[face]phone… Oh wait your presence in mobile is already < 10%… So I assume then that this means you've given up hope…
