Microsoft unveils Games on Demand for Windows PCs

There are lots of gamers out there and generally, it seems that Microsoft puts more weight on innovations and platforms for Xbox 360 gamers that it does for PC gamers. Microsoft has announced a new service is coming soon for PC gamers that sounds interesting and will let you get your hands on new games faster without having to make a trip to the store.

The new service is called Games on Demand and the service will have a new game store that is accessed over the web on a PC. The new service will launch on November 15 and will have a robust line of games, easier navigation and purchase options, and recurring specials like a deal of the week.

The Games on Demand service will be accessible from anywhere the user can get a web connection and has speed optimized for fast download. There will be game search functionality and the interface has a clean and intuitive look according to Microsoft. Microsoft plans to offer some of its biggest gaming franchises for sale over the platform and games from other developers will be offered as well. Users will need a Windows Live ID to log in and purchases can be made with Microsoft Points or a credit card.
