You should learn to type using a Dvorak layout ;) designed to make touch typing as efficient as possible for the English language. (also, you get major geek points for it).

I do agree about the USB. It is badly needed on my phone and tablet. If I had one on my phone, I could plug my exterior hard drive into it and swap everything across without needing my PC. All I use my PC for is file sharing and swapping stuff over. I don’t like or trust the cloud, besides, its way way way to slow for my liking. I don’t type, so I don’t like keyboards (I can’t believe they still use the qwerty set up. Its stupid and the only reason it was invented, was to slow down the typists so the old typewriters could handle it.) I use Swype on my phone but wish it was in alphabetical order. Sorry, got side tracked and now I don’t remember what you said. O, usb’s should be on everything.

I personally use an iPad for most of what I do but sometimes it falls just a little short. E.g. When I’m doing more than just casual browsing (comparing prices on plane tickets or something), the onscreen keyboard and touch-for-mouse annoy me and I end up using my laptop. Or when I want to get photos off my camera, I need my laptop for USB.

Adding a keyboard-cover and USB port means I can do these things on my tab without booting up the laptop, without sacrificing portability. Throw in skyping while typing an email or looking up directions on a map, little touches like the share charm for auto social integration with almost every app, device charm for connecting to a projector, printer support… I believe that “revolutionary” is perfectly justified.

Well lets see… I have a phone… the ipad is a big phone… the surface pro is not…. its basicly an ultrabook thats a tablet… I also said when watching tv i like tablets because i dont need to sit it on my lap… and when you say more powerfull… BROWN!!!! you ever seen a 10 inch laptop that is as powerfull as surface pro? or asus transformer book which is I7 powered… sure i would really like the transformer book 14″ version… which means it can have all the power you want…
Anyway… Its my preference, the reason i said anything at all is because you discount preference… I WANT A TABLET WITH A KEYBOARD… Why because one without is just as you said.. A PHONE… I have a built a from scratch desktop with 1500 euro in it…. That is my power when i need it…
So for again discounting preference… SAP

You could just have a laptop. Does everything you need. You can put it on your lap (that’s why it’s called a laptop) and guess what. It has a keyboard. Don’t be jealous of tablets. They are second rate if you need the power of a laptop. Pointless trying to convert a tablet into a laptop. Laptop’s have far more power for power users. Tablets are nothing more than large phones, and for most people, they are fine with that. If it is that important for you to have a keyboard, then a tablet is not the right choice for you. Get over it.

Well your a sap… sorry but i want a tablet with a keyboard… i like using a tablet when watching tv… its handy… but without moving files around and cloud messing… same machine 1 second later i have a keyboard connected and i didnt spend money on a laptop and tablet like a sap…

Wow, how revolutionary. A tablet with a keyboard. Why has no one ever did anything like this before. O, that’s right, it has been done before. It’s called a laptop or net book. For the life of me, I don’t understand why some people want to make a tablet, a laptop. Just choose one or the other. If you need a keyboard, use a laptop. If you need a tablet, you don’t want a keyboard. That’s why I got a tablet, I don’t want a keyboard, I don’t do spread sheets or excel. If I wanted something to do that, if get a laptop. PS. If I wanted to look at horrible dead coloured tiles all day, I’d go to a primary school and look at their at work. That’s not fair, the art work would look ten times better than the chunder Microsoft is spewing out.
