We have 25 users on Google Apps Premier (2 years). Google has a lot of work to do before we could consider using it as a replacement for MS Office. Functionality is not even close with Excel and Word, and improvements in the past year have been minimal. To me, it does not appear they are serious about being a contender in the Office arena.

nothing could come close to microsoft office, enough with the b.s. if you need office to type a paper or make a stupid table, then ya use any of the ones listed. If you want to do powerful excel models and presentations. Microsoft wins hands down. I’m not defending microsoft in windows or any of their other products. BUTTTT Microsoft Office is the best, least bug free, software out there.

II prefer LibreOffice. It’s the best of all world’s in this argument. It’s full featured, not web based, basically a “free micro$oft office”! I use it on my Winblows, mac, and Ubuntu Linux ;-)
