Microsoft has re-awakened the SideWinder brand from its sleep by announcing its new mouse called the SideWinder gaming mouse. Microsoft is showing the mouse at the games convention in Leipzig.

Microsoft designed the SideWinder mouse from the ground up for gamers and features hot key to accommodate Windows Vista Game Explorer and Quick Turn functions.

The SideWinder gaming mouse is the first mouse that sports an LCD screen that display DPI settings and macro recording. Just like Logitech gaming mouse, it also equipped with adjustable weight cartridge. The mouse uses laser engine that have 2000-DPI sensitivity and users can change sensitivity of the mouse instantly with the switches behind the scroll wheel.

According to Microsoft, the SideWinder mouse will be on retail market in October this year for the price of $79.95.
