Worth Reading?

NoYes

There has been talk recently about Microsoft possibly supporting Blu-ray in the future. It’s an understandable speculation. What if HD-DVD doesn’t really take off? Would Microsoft jump ship and support the other team? Microsoft has decided to settle the matter.

HD-DVD vs Blu-ray

According to them, they are “fully committed to HD-DVD and have absolutely no plans to support other optical formats.” That should pretty much settle things. Microsoft will support HD-DVD until the end of time.

It will be interesting if Blu-ray were to come ahead and win the format war. It’s always amusing to see Microsoft eat their words.

    Are you a quote retard?

First your title is a blatant misquote.

Second the actual quote in your post is incorrect – they are “fully committed to HD-DVD and have absolutely NO plans to support other optical formats.”

While there was a typographical error in the second quote, I stand by my inclusion of the quotation marks in the title. Quotations not only notate a direct quote, but they can also notate that the author is paraphrasing. I believe that “Hell No” was an appropriate paraphrase of what was said. Though some may argue that a set of single quotation marks is more appropriate, it is also acceptable to use double-quotes.

I am always open to constructive criticism in my writing, but there is no need to be rude about it.
