They have to make people buy the disk of course! If it was *just* in the cloud then they know people would be less willing to actually buy it.

Funny how they slip in a surface instead of a laptop at the end (“all your devices”), while in the video everybody still uses laptops. Hope Surface Pro will be available soon.

Just opened my old hotmail account to try it out, sucks. Not being biased but it is very web 1.0 and not as intuitive and simple.

Oh I know Office 365 has a web client. Better in features? Yes, in collaboration? No. What I was saying is that why are they still making native apps for them when they already have the same functionality in the cloud. I get it though, they are going with an appcentric approach.

uhh hotmail users have had skydrive and a web version of office for quite some time. Its much better than the google services for editing word documents, excel sheets or whatever. I dont know what I would do without it.

So is this a desktop client still? I figured they would do a full move to the cloud ala google docs. Although, since the world is still appcentric, it makes sense to keep it out of the browser for MS. In googles case, since their desktop OS is cloud based, it makes sense for it to be in the browser.
