Microsoft Makes Fun of Apple for Not Supporting Blu-ray [Video]

In a brand new advertisement, Microsoft works with stop-animation to poke their finger at Apple yet again, this time going for something that many Apple fans may or may not agree with: Apple's lack of support for Blu-ray. The commercial starts out friendly enough, with two laptops about to go on a long flight, sitting next to one another. But when the PC wants to start watching a Blu-ray, the point of the ad quickly becomes apparent.

The Mac, after noticing that the PC wants to watch the film AVATAR, politely asks what that is. The PC tells the Mac that it's a Blu-ray, and that "it's built in." Obviously, the advertisement is meant to point out the fact that the Mac does not support reading high-definition Blu-ray discs, and that it is not "built in."

But, that's not the only dig Microsoft takes at Apple. Remembering back to those "I'm a PC" campaign, it was rumored that Microsoft had been using Apple manufactured hardware to create the videos. Just to make sure that rumor didn't pop up again, at the end of the ad, it says that "no Macs were used in the making of this video." Ouch. It looks like Microsoft is bringing the marketing fight to Apple again, and considering the holiday season is right around the corner, it's probably only going to get more interesting.
