got one for my wife to use while I'm deployed. I can see and hear her really well on my laptop. The biggest limiting factor is (of course) internet quality. Home to home is great, but home to hotel or overseas and the video takes a big hit. I recommend the 5001 though, and I am stingy with my recs!
