@Leonard
What gives you the impression that phone 7 is a flop?

Initial sales are not an indication of future success. By your logic google should have terminated android after it's poor Initial sales. They didn't, and now look at em kicking the iPhone's butt.

If Microsoft persists they have a real chance of getting a good share of the market.

Be patient and watch it all unfold. Having another player in the market is great for customers and developers alike.

No. It wasn't Verizon's fault. It was Microsoft's fault for releasing a feature-lacking phone that was a data hog, and as such would attract a data-hogging data plane.

Microsoft did not understand the market it was entering into.

Microsoft is still releasing feature-lacking phones onto the market, the latest being Windows Phone 7, which is getting very low sales. With Windows Phone 7 a flop, maybe Microsoft hopes a return of the Kin will increase its fortunes.
