It’s fun to think things, but in fact the zoom setting is an overall one, not per page. Chrome is much zippier than IE9, at least the most recent release-candidate compared to the most recent stable-release of Chrome — that’s been my experience on my Core i7 system with 8gb RAM. The basics, like opening a new tab, opening pages in general, complete instantly in Chrome as compared to IE9.

I think ie 9 now has different zoom level for different pages.. plus i can safely say that ie9 now is faster than chrome..

If anyone’s interested, this is the first IE9 version to work with games located at http://zone.msn.com

Personally, it’s the only reason I haven’t installed it yet.

Chrome is still a lot faster. Can’t do without the way Chrome remembers text size per site. IE9 still has that same old one-text size setting for every page.
