Completely skewed article. Apple seems to be worth more just because they make all of their hardware in house while you don’t see laptops and desktop towers with the Microsoft name attached. That’s the real reason it seems so “massive”. Real comparison – Take Microsoft, HP’s PC department, Dell’s PC department, as well as all the other PC manufacturers worth and then compare those numbers to Apple.

Here’s a tidbit of info for you: Google Apps alone provides more utility to businesses, universities and the like than any product or service provided by Apple. That’s just a simple fact.

Forget the fact that ‘Google’ is a household name. ”Google it”. Even Bing uses Google search results.

Actually, Apple is much more essential than Google…
In my opinion, Oracle, IBM, and Microsoft tie up to be the most important/essential technology companies. Google ranks last among the top: It has nothing essential to offer.

I don’t get this either. Yes their stock is worth more cause people love apple. However if Apple were to suddenly disapper tomorrow, not much would change. We could still buy smartphones, still download music (legally). They don’t have a big desktop or enterprise footprint. It wouldn’t be a big deal. If microsoft or google disappeared, it be a bigger impact. So…

I only would like to say; Apple simply makes software AND hardware. Microsoft makes software. Google makes software. For that the equation is wrong. However, Samsung + Android = Apple would be more accurate. Especially since those 3 are in court the most with eachother.

Apple is a juggernaut when it comes to profits and mindshare and ability to mass-hypontize people, and they also make extremely quality products (hardware-wise), but a companies worth on stock markets and whatever speak nothing of their impact on everyday life of population.

I’m an android fan but it makes me feel good that an american company is doing great. Everything else american has been going down so if google and apple spread across the world it means we’re not out of the game. The day this companies come from china or another country is when you know America has seen better days.

Microsoft and Google might not be the worth of apple cause they are busy innovating, why the heck do everybody compare M$ to Appl, both are DIFFERENT, M$ is a SOFTWARE ONLY company, while APPLE IS ALL HARDWARE & SOFTWARE.
