Definitely on Motorola's side here, but only because this is a defensive action. Apple and MS have been trying to kill Android for years with ridiculous patent claims, all the while profiting off of a ton of actual patented inventions Motorola owns. It would have all been fine if Apple and MS hadn't tried to kill Android.

Microsoft and other companies have to form a group and create a free to all internet Video standrad
write up the Program make it robust to include 4k video tv and offer it as a true free international internet video standard and tell Motorola to keep their H.264 standard.. this standard was supposed to be part the coming new international HTML 5 upgrade free to all now Motorola has reneged on the deal so Microsoft and and other businesses and the whole Internet community as a whole must now remove it as the main Video format in HTML-5 because HTML-5 is a free international internet communication protocol. The main video format in it has to be free for all to use and the same protocal from country to country. Since Motorola now says it is not free then it cannot be the Main international internet Video format. Motorola now forces the international internet community to choose a free to all Video format. Motorola has just lost big time as far as international prestige is concerned. they will make a few bucks in the short run but will definably loose in long run because THE WHOLE WORLD's internet community has Poor nations and small companies that cannot afford to be paying somebody for internet Video when internet Video should be free to all unless you go to a particular web site that may not choose to use it. Damn folks looks like Flash is going to survive after all who knows Adobe might come up with a good free to all internet video standard
YOO APPLE you're next get ready to give up billions for H.264 on the IPad

Yes, that's how patent works. Google (now the owner of Motorola) gave away the competing encoding and MS, Apple,.... where against Google for giving away for free the competing standard. Now Google owns Motorola and will start using those patents. No surprise if Apple is next. MS wants to get money out of each Android handset then Google will get money out of each Xbox sold.

PS- they need to stop getting idiot judges that can barely use a computer.
