likening this to the grid in android is stretching the idea a bit too far. you might as well just say all touch based methods are the same… give it up to microsoft for having a nice idea for once

It isn’t a horrible idea but the presentation is really pathetic. Also, why limit it to facial features? Also, Also, why not make it more akin to swype, lifting your finger for each gesture seems inefficient.

You mind as well say that about anything at its inception. Android in 2008 was a gimmick, siri in 2011 is a gimmick, google maps in 2002 was a gimmick, GUI desktops in 1988 was a gimmick. The start of something should be given a chance to grow into its potential.

Thats like on my motorola Atrix. I have a finger print scanner to unlock my screen but theirs also a pin code option which makes me feel less secuire

Yawn, how is this any different than the existing Android sign in methods that uses user generated patterns traced on a grid?

It’s just another gimmick like the wonderful Android facial recognition that only took a photo of the user to crack.
