If the app developers believed Windows Phone would sell, they would have invested in it already.
The fact that MS has paid to have the apps developed/ported does not improve the fundamental lack of product sales.
…now back to the Qt 5 alpha release notes.

Yup, whatever anyone thinks… this at least will help the economy with more developers getting paid up front for their work :P

Really though, the ad based developer profit model doesn’t work for everyone and helps kill run time on mobile devices with the otherwise useless extra processing work load it imposes…

As a Windows Phone owner & fan, I have to ask, “What took them so long?” Microsoft has great software & (now) great hardware for Windows Phone, but they still lag in the apps department–not just in number, but in the fundamental apps that most consumers want. They should’ve been paying for these apps months ago so they’d be ready when the Lumia 900 launched–not promising that these apps are “coming soon.”

I’ll be honest, as an early adopter of Windows Phone, I’m increasingly frustrated with Microsoft’s excuses. They’re running out of time. If Windows Phone hasn’t caught on by the end of 2013 (when my contract runs out), then I’ll be moving on. If the Nokia 900 & the launch of Windows Phone 8 (Apollo) haven’t turned things around by then… then nothing will.

The clock is ticking, Microsoft…
